I
am honored to be heading up The 10th Annual Mike Bartram
Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing this year. This is
an endeavor that is of special significance to us as
Mike Bartram was a close personal friend. Mike Bartram
was a very special guy, not only a wonderful friend,
but also a loving husband and father, and a civic-minded
community person. He epitomized the qualities of generosity
and kindness that are the cornerstone of this event
and of The Exchange Club of Norwalk, Inc. of which Mike
was an active member. Mike served as a past President
Of the Exchange Club of Norwalk, Inc. and helped the
club achieve their national goal of The Prevention of
Child Abuse through many community service projects. |

Mike
Bartram died in December of 1998 after a longstanding
battle with cancer leaving a young widow and three young
children. At that time, The Exchange Club of Norwalk,
Inc. began The Mike Bartram Memorial Scholarship Fund as
a way of preserving his legacy. The money raised by this
event is used to grant high school scholarships to worthy
students pursuing higher education. |

I ask
you this year to help us by your sponsorship of this event
in keeping the spirit of Mike Bartram alive. Those of us who
knew him will never forget Mike Bartram, but by forging ahead
in pursuit of his ideals and goals, we will forever pay tribute
to his memory. |
